 RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling uses a fine needle to create microwounds, or channels, in the skin. This triggers the production of capillaries, elastin, and collagen. It’s also called skin needling or collagen induction therapy.

If the procedure also uses radiofrequency waves, it’s called radiofrequency microneedling. The needle releases radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage. This enhances the effects of standard Level I pen microneedling.

MICRONEEDLING LEVEL 1 (PEN)

A handheld device is glide across the surface of the designated treatment area. Microneedles on the device create a series of micro-channels in the skin, which stimulate the body’s natural reparative process and generates more collagen: the main structural protein in the skin. As more collagen is created, the body improves skin quality along with remedies certain cosmetic flaws on a cellular level.

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

  • Acne scars

  • Uneven texture

  • Dull tone

 

WHAT TO EXPECT
• Immediately after treatment your may experience mild swelling, redness & itchiness
• This is common & should resolve itself with 2 to 24 hours

HOW TO CARE
• Cold compress may be used as needed
• Do not touch face for the remainder of the day & night after treatment
• Next morning cleanse skin with cool water & gentle cleanser, followed by a moisturizer and sunscreen
• Use antibiotic creams or emollients if prescribed

THINGS TO AVOID
Makeup for at least 48 hours after treatment
• Strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment
• AHA, Retinols, Vitamin C, & exfoliating products for 48 hours after treatment
• Facials, waxing, glycolic or AHA peels, IPL or energy-based treatments microneedling, microdermabrasion for 2 weeks after treatment
• Sun exposure without sunscreen
• Saunas or steam rooms for 1 week
